How can I get my iPhone to Connect to My Friend’s iPhone Through Wi-Fi?

When using Apple products, exchanging a wireless network key is a simple and fast operation. However, you can’t share your Wi-Fi password using AirDrop since that feature only works with other password-protected files, such as applications, websites, and services.

Although an iPhone is a primary emphasis here, these instructions are equally compatible with an iPad.

#1. Getting the iPhones Ready for Action

To access the Settings menu, start by swiping down from the upper right corner.
Second, if the Bluetooth symbol is white, tapping on it will activate Wi-Fi. If the color is blue, you may proceed.
The next step is to check that both devices have valid Apple IDs logged in to iCloud and that the receiver has the sender’s email address recorded in their Contacts.

#2. The iPhone’s Password Reception

The first thing you need to do is launch the software responsible for configuring your device.
The second action is to choose the Wi-Fi alternative.
Third, choose the desired Wi-Fi network by tapping on it and then waiting.

#3. Transmitting the Password Using an iPhone

Connect your iPhone to the same Wi-Fi network you’ll be using for the sharing.
Launch the Settings app by tapping its icon.
Select the Wi-Fi alternative
Choose the network that will be accessible to others by tapping on it.
From the drop-down option, choose Share Password.

Steps for Android Devices to Connect to an iPhone’s Wi-Fi Network

There is no way to broadcast your Wi-Fi network password to an Android device from an iOS device. Instead, you’ll require a third-party tool to create a QR code that can be read by a scanner.

#1. iOS Device Use

First, launch Visual Codes by tapping its icon.
Click the blue Add Code button in Step 2.
Third, after selecting your network, choose Connect to Wi-Fi.
After that, in Step 4, give your wireless network a name by typing it into the Name form
Fifth, in the Password area, type the password for your wireless network.
Sixth, give your new label an actual name.
Click the blue button labeled “Create Code” to proceed to Step 7.
Follow Step 8 by tapping Create Code once again when prompted.
Access the newly generated QR code by tapping on it from the main Codes panel (shown below).

#2. Using an Android Device

Initiate the Camera app by tapping on it.
Aim the camera on your Android device toward the QR code on the iPhone screen.
Third, connect your Android device to the community Wi-Fi by tapping the pop-up bubble on your screen.

#3. Produce the QR Code

First, swipe out of the Quick Settings menu and then hit the gear symbol to access the main Settings screen.
Second, choose Network & Internet from the menu that appears.
The third step is to activate wireless internet (or Internet).
In the fourth step, you’ll choose your network by tapping the gear icon that appears next to it.
Fifth, hit the “Share” button.
Confirm your identification before proceeding to Step 6. You should now see the QR code on your screen.

#4. Scanning the Code

Now that your QR code is visible on your Android device, you may use a second Android device or iPhone to scan it.

To read the QR code on an Android smartphone, you need to open the Camera app. How? Read on!

Initiate the Camera app by tapping on it.
Second, to scan the QR code on the Android smartphone, aim your iPhone’s camera towards the display.
Third, choose the QR Code Joining the “[Name]” Network notice.
Aside from the Camera app, you may use the integrated QR scanner for other purposes.

#5. Activate QR Scanner on iPhone

First, launch the Settings app by tapping its icon.
Two, go to the Settings menu.
Third, choose Code Scanner from the Additional Settings menu by tapping on its green Plus icon.
Swipe down from the top right corner to access the Settings menu.
Fifth, use your device’s touchscreen to choose the QR scanner icon.
Aim the camera of your iPhone towards the screen of your Android smartphone so you can see the QR code.
